Theraputty is used to help develop and strengthen the muscles in the hand by promoting range of motion, hand closure and tendon gliding. Hand strength is essential to fine motor skill development and the functional use of the hand. With 4 strengths available – you can build your way up as your hands get stronger.

Comes with instruction cards for activity ideas on how to use.

Pre-school Aged (recommendations x-soft and soft)

• Mess free sensory play
• Allows the use of two hands assists in developing bilateral coordination and establishing hand dominance.
• Develops a childs finger and hand strength to enable them to grasp objects with strength and control. 

Primary (recommendations medium)

• Upper limb strengthening, as this engages all the muscles from your shoulder to your fingertips.
• Strengthening of small intrinsic muscles required for holding a pencil and handwriting.
• Develop finger manipulation, in hand manipulation and finger isolation.
• Develop a strong pincer (pinching) grasp.
• Add scissors for a fun way to practice scissor skills.
• Add cutlery for a fun way to practice using knife and fork use.

High school and adult (recommendations firm)

• Used for rehabilitation of the upperlimb and hand.
• Strengthening of small intrinsic muscles required for holding a pencil and handwriting.
• Develop finger manipulation, in hand manipulation and finger isolation to support optimal hand use.
